Fall is in the air and the mornings are getting crisp. Leaves are changing to the fiery hues of autumn, lending an artist's palette to the landscape.

It is a beautiful time of year. The air feels clean and crisp as you breathe. The bugs are almost gone. The trees are awash with colours that vary from vibrant green to burnt sienna, with ruby reds thrown into the mix.

The only problem is all this beauty leads to this:

  1. Oh my goodness, this is an amazing autumn color, I love autumn so much for these tones and the light and the warmth still.

The winters you get....what can I say, and it only seems like you just got some summer?

    Minus weather isn't funny.

  2. Pam, only part of the winter is horrible. Actually temps of around -10C are wonderful - warm enough to be able to play outside all day (if you like) but cold enough that the snow is not all slushy and mucky.

It's the winds here that really bite. When it is below zero with a wind, the wind chill factor makes it seems waaayyyy colder!

We get probably two full months of summer, but the months before and after that can also be very nice, just not so hot. Really.... it's not bad here!

thoughts floated through the ether...
