MY BLOG IS FROZEN....

So I will be visiting warmer climes until
I thaw a bit from the sub-zero temps
in this neck of the universe...

  1. Poor dear. I hope you are curled up in front of the fireplace on a sheepskin rug with a cup of hot chocolate or a man.

    Both work.

  2. CP has some great suggestions.

    Stay safe and stay warm!

  3. Jessas, minus 40°C! Would you please be so kind and survive that? Thank you.

  4. CyberPete: I would love to do that, but seem to be lacking the fireplace and the man. I do, however, have lots of hot chocolate, so I guess that will have to do.

Eros: I am doing my best... really. Down is my true friend.

Mago: I will, my friend, I will! We are a tough lot, here on the Canadian Prairies. (Just to let you know, we actually have the same winter weather as Siberia....)

  5. Explain to me, again, why you live in Winnipeg?

    Please.

  6. Family, Jonas. Family. It is as simple as that. Most of them live here, and I have spent a lot of years away from here and don't want to be away from them anymore. But I do question the location myself quite often!!!

  7. We are having cold weather here in South Central Montana too, but nothing like that! -20F has been pretty typical of our temperatures of late, but -40, I can't even imagine.

Stay warm, girl...and I'd rethink that warm fire and hot man idea. Sounds like an awfully good way to stay warm to me. :-)

  8. zIggI: believe me, I do my best to stay warm.... thanks!

Laurie: I would love -20F - I think that is about -19C, which is a fair bit warmer than we have been. I would love to rethink the warm fire and hot man.... just don't have access to either at the moment. Which is a bummer....

  9. That is the first thermometer I have seen actually reading -40 F&C!

    Hang on until the thaw!

  10. XL: The thaw will begin sometime in March, hopefully.... Funny how the thermometers meet at one of the most gawd awful temps!

  11. Interesting little factoid: United Van Lines did a survey (years ago) 'bout the number of times people move. I long forgot the specific numbers, but I remember the summary conclusion: The last moves in one's life are generally to be closer to family.

    Kinda comforting.

  12. Jonas: Makes sense to me... cuz I like my family and we all get along fine. Nice folks, they are...
